Here’s another hot/cold pack from my Etsy shop! A few weeks ago one of my my aunts used hers to help soothe her 4 year old daughter’s spider bite, and last week my uncle used his as a cold compress to ease the swelling on his face after a painful root canal! You just never know how often these things come in handy till you have one :]

Definitely try this!!! It was easy and took no time at all!
I just took my old ugly checkbook cover and made it pretty with some really nice wrapping paper and some rubber cement, although a different kind of glue would probably work better (the rubber cement was all I had on hand).
I put a thick coating of rubber cement all over the old checkbook cover (the kind you get from your bank with the checks), and then I put it down on top of the blank side of the wrapping paper. I put some jars down on top to hold it down along the fold and the corners. In less than 20 minutes I was ready to cut the edges off with an exacto knife, and it was ready to use right away!
I tried to fold some of the paper over but the rubber cement would not hold. I can imagine with some quality glue this project would have gone even better! It seems pretty durable too, since the paper is evenly glued to the checkbook cover it wont rip or get messed up unless you really beat it up.
